In 1997, High school Sweethearts Marco and Sandra Johnson began a journey together that would ultimately lead to the dynamic duo founding a regionally accredited, traditional institution of higher learning in their hometown of Lancaster CA.
Marco, a retired Los Angeles City Firefighter/Paramedic and former NFL player, and Sandra, a former legal professional and a trained dancer, recently established the Accreditation Advisors Group (AAG) after selling their Regionally Accredited University (July 2022). The Johnsons now have a mission to share their decades of front-line experience and expertise with individuals and organizations (start-ups & established) in various stages of the educational process, with achieving its goals.
In 1997, the Johnsons founded The CPR & First Aid Company. Sandra oversaw all administrative duties while Marco, when not on duty at the fire station, was responsible for delivering the CPR & First Aid classes to community members. This operation quickly evolved into the Johnsons receiving approval and delivering an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program. Beginning in early 2000, the Johnsons began offering a variety of allied health programs (Medical Assisting, Medical Billing, EMT, Vocational Nursing, Paramedic, etc.) and successfully became a nationally accredited institution the same year, which ultimately lead to receiving approval from the United States Department of Education to participate in the Title IV Program (Government Financial Aid).
Over the next decade, the Johnsons grew the institution and delivered quality higher education to thousands of students annually while obtaining additional programmatic and institutional approvals. These approvals included but were not limited to SEVIS, CoAEMSP, WIOA, CHEA, Veteran's Administration, CA Board of Registered Nursing, CAMTC, American Heart Association, and CA EMS Authority, to name a few. In 2016, the Johnsons led the university to earn institutional, regional accreditation through WSCUC, becoming the region's first and currently only indigenous traditional university.
Before the Johnsons sold the institution in 2022, along with their fantastic team, they personally developed and oversaw the deliverance of 30 programs (professional certifications through master’s degrees) both online and on-campus:
· Ten college athletics programs
· On-campus student and faculty housing
· Successful athletics/entertainment venue
· Community-centered award-winning banquet and catering department
· Partnerships with global brands, including Under Armour and Starbucks
From inception, the Johnsons founded and grew their institution from a nationally to a regionally accredited university. The Johnson's, being community centered and driven, are now ready to share their one-of-a-kind story, expansive knowledge base and experience, while guiding both new and established institutions through the various processes associated with achieving its goals.
"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen"
